Return of the Dining Room

If you’re one to pay close attention to home and design trends, you’ve probably noticed the fact that closed off dining room spaces and dwindled over the years. With the rise in open-concept living, the closed off dining room began to transition out of new builds significantly.

Additionally, the design trend regarding formal, more traditional styling in the dining room, dropped off dramatically. The style began to gravitate more toward the casual farmhouse and transitional styles, allowing the dining room to blend into the open-concept living space.

However, in recent months, we have noticed a sharp rise in interest for traditional, more formal dining room furniture. It will be interesting to watch to see if this continues.
